 WILLIE GARSON (USA's "WHITE COLLAR")
Willie Garson stars as Mozzie in the new USA Network original series WHITE COLLAR .  The talented Garson is rarely at a loss for work, appearing in over 250 TV episodes in a wide variety of programming, and over 70 feature films.  His unorthodox bald and bespectacled look won over Willie Garson fans on "Sex and the City," where he played Carrie's gay best friend, Stanford Blatch.  He is also well known as Henry Coffield on "NYPD Blue" and recently re-teamed with HBO and David Milch on "John from Cincinnati."   Garson will be seen next in the much-anticipated sequel to "Sex and the City" in May 2010. Born and raised in New Jersey, he started training at The Actors Institute in New York when he was only 13, before majoring in theater and psychology at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. After graduation, Garson found his love for acting outweighed his psychology studies and landed guest roles on "Cheers," "Family Ties," "thirtysomething" and "L.A. Law."   He has stayed busy playing several recurring characters in a wide array of TV projects, such as "Just Shoot Me," "Spin City," "Ally McBeal," "The Practice," "Stargate SG-1," "Star Trek: Voyager," "The X-Files," "Medium" and "Pushing Daisies." On the big screen, Garson has collaborated with the Farrelly Brothers in their films  "Kingpin," "There's Something about Mary" and "Fever Pitch."  Garson has appeared in the quirky ensemble comedies "Soapdish," "Mars Attacks" and "Being John Malkovich", and is often used by such varied directors as Michael Bay, Mike Nichols and Spike Jonze. At home on the stage as much as he is on television and in film, Garson continues to perform with various bicoastal theater companies in NY and LA, and was a member of Naked Angels, The Manhattan Theater Club, the Roundabout Theater and the Geffen Playhouse. He's also involved in community and charity organizations – from Big Brothers to Young Artists United. He has read to first graders weekly through the Screen Actors Guild "Bookpals" program, and is involved with AMFAR, Aspen Youth Experience, LA's Alliance for Children's Rights and Camp Joslin Diabetes Center in Massachusetts.  Aside from acting on TV and the big screen, Garson also found success as a celebrity poker player. In 2003, "Evil Willie" (a nickname given to Garson by Don Cheadle for his fierce card playing) won the very first episode of Texas Hold 'Em on Bravo's "Celebrity Poker Showdown," and continues to play in tournaments worldwide and through the World Poker Tour.  Garson recently adopted a son and now resides in Los Angeles and New York.

David Eigen - Marriage Counselor "Tiger Woods"
"After years of research, my own personal searching, education, and interactions with others including my clients, I realized that our 'pursuit of happiness' and fulfillment has been sabotaged by our inner conflicts. These conflicts are cause by the very training that was supposed to lead us to Dr. David Eigenfulfillment. Importantly, this training was taught us by outside influences! That's great news, as it means nothing is inherently wrong with us, our problems are NOT inner defects. These external influences established and propagated by the patriarchal, male as dominant belief system were create long ago and no longer serve us." OMG, did my ears really hear the demands for an apology from one of Tiger's hoe's, promulgated to the public by another type of hoe (attorney Allred)? Seriously? Yes, but my mind refuses to fully believe it. Somehow, someway, these two partners in crime (extortion) believe that it is perfectly acceptable for women to throw themselves at married men without an iota of consideration for the damages it causes to his wife and family, and then demand an apology. Is there something wrong with me that I can't understand this, or is this just too insane and outrageous for words? We have a slue of women throwing themselves at famous powerful married men without the slightest consideration for their families. All they want is a piece of fame, "I did it with him," and maybe I can make some money off it too. Clearly, the men are without question out of integrity for breaking their vows. They could have chosen to say, no thank you, instead of, yah baby. Both are responsible, both at fault, as it still takes 'two to tango.' However, enough has been said against the men, as it is always the man's fault.  And their hoes, well I have said a lot in previous blog articles like 'Are Women Innocent?' Both are self-involved and narcissistic. Clearly.

Tom Burrell - "BRAINWASHED"
Marketing communications pioneer and Advertising Hall of Fame inductee Tom Burrell is credited with revolutionizing the image of African Americans in television and changing the face of American advertising. His award-winning work promoted positive and realistic images of blacks and acknowledged the purchasing power of the African American community. Burrell is the founder of The Resolution Project, a nonprofit organization that promotes intra-racial dialogue and community-based new media "stop the brainwash" campaigns. He lives in Chicago's South Loop area.   "Black people are not dark-skinned white people," says advertising visionary Tom Burrell. In fact, they are much more. They are survivors of the Middle Passage and centuries of humiliation and deprivation, who have excelled against the odds, constantly making a way out of "No way!" At this pivotal point in history, the idea of black inferiority should have had a "Going-Out-of-Business Sale." After all, Barack Obama has reached America's Promised Land. Yet, as Brainwashed: Challenging the Myth of Black Inferiority testifies, too many in black America are still wandering in the wilderness. In this powerful examination of "the greatest propaganda campaign of all time"—the masterful marketing of black inferiority, aka the BI Complex—Burrell poses ten disturbing questions that will make black people look in the mirror and ask why, nearly 150 years after the Emancipation Proclamation, so many blacks still think and act like slaves. Burrell's acute awareness of the power of words and images to shift, shape, and change the collective consciousness has led him to connect the contemporary and historical dots that have brought us to this crossroads. Brainwashed is not a reprimand—it is a call to action. It demands that we question our self-defeating attitudes and behaviors. Racism is not the issue; how we respond to media distortions and programmed self-hatred is the issue. It's time to reverse the BI campaign with a globally based initiative that harnesses the power of new media and the wisdom of intergenerational coalitions. Provocative and powerful, Brainwashed dares to expose the wounds so that we, at last, can heal.

Larry Harris -  "And Party Everyday"
Larry Harris began working for Buddah/Kama Sutra Records in the summer of 1971 as the local New York promotions man, and in 1973 joined his cousin Neil Bogart in founding Casablanca Records. He became senior vice president and managing director of the company in 1976 and left Casablanca in the fall of 1980. Larry was born in New York and now lives and works in Seattle. February 21, 2009, Playlist ... Now it can be told! The true, behind-the-scenes story of Casablanca Records, from an eyewitness to the excess and insanity. Casablanca was not a product of the 1970s, it was the 1970s. From 1974 to 1980, the landscape of American culture was a banquet of hedonism and self-indulgence, and no person or company in that era was more emblematic of the times than Casablanca Records and its magnetic founder, Neil Bogart. From his daring first signing of KISS, through the discovery and superstardom of Donna Summer, the Village People, and funk master George Clinton and his circus of freaks, Parliament Funkadelic, to the descent into the manic world of disco, this book charts Bogart's meteoric success and eventual collapse under the weight of uncontrolled ego and hype. It is a compelling tale of ambition, greed, excess, and some of the era's biggest music acts.

Gayle Lynds "Watch list"Fans of the TV series 24 will best appreciate this two-part serial thriller written by 22 members of International Thriller Writers. By Henry Cejudo's count ...
forget the 2008 Bejing Olympic success story that inspired us and proved that the American Dream is still alive and well. AMERICAN VICTORY is the powerful memoir of a young, dynamic son of illegal Mexican immigrants, who against all odds and expectations went on to dominate in Beijing. Not only was Henry the first American in 16 years to win the gold in freestyle wrestling, but he was the youngest American to ever do so. Growing up in the junkyards and shacks of LA, Las Cruces and Phoenix , Henry never had his own bed and would often have to share a pillow with one of his six siblings. Raised by a single mother, it was Henry's brothers and sisters who taught him รข€ล“to laugh, to love and, most of all,  The grit, passion, and resolve it took to get him to the Olympics was the culmination of a life spent fighting both on and off the mat. After winning the gold, the photo of Henry wrapped in the American flag became iconic and he made national headlines. The Los Angeles Times has recently said, "American Victory" represents a triumph of the human spirit. Cejudo is the latest in a long line of unlikely heroes to emerge from harsh circumstances and succeed at the Olympics.
DR. J. JAMES ROHACK M.D - PRES OF THE AMA
HE WILL BE DISCUSSING WHAT MEDICARE CUTS COULD MEAN FOR THE SENIORS AND MILITARY FAMILIES IN THE UNITED STATES.  HEALTH CRISIS LOOMING MARCH 1 FOR SENIORS & MILITARY FAMILIES  American Medical Association President Calls on Senators Nelson and Lemieux to Permanently Fix the Medicare Cuts Problem Before 21 Percent Cut Begins March 1.  Unless the Senate acts, on March 1 seniors and military families will have reduced access to health care and choice of physician because of a steep Medicare physician payment cut of 21 percent. The U.S. Senate has less than three weeks left to act before the cut begins. Already, about one in four Medicare patients looking for a new primary care physician have trouble finding one and this year' cut will make the problem much worse. AMA and AARP are calling on the Senate to repeal the broken formula that projects the cuts to preserve the physician foundation of Medicare for current and future seniors. The baby boomers begin turning 65 next year and the formula must be fixed once and for all to preserve the physician foundation of Medicare for current and future seniors. President of the American Medical Association J. James Rohack, M.D. is a cardiologist practicing in Texas. In 2009 he was voted No. 20 in the 50 Most Powerful Physician Executives in Healthcare by the readers of Modern Healthcare and Modern Physician magazines. Possible interview questions:
American Medical Association ... What will the impact of a 21 percent cut be on seniors and military families?

Why should baby boomers be concerned?
What can Congress do for the overall health reform debate?
Why can't they just pass another short-term fix

FRONTLINE correspondent Miles O'Brien for "Flying Cheap"
which airs Feb 9 on PBS - The NTSB reported this week that the crash of Continental Flight 3407, outside Buffalo last February, was a result of pilot error and sited 25 new safety recommendations. Although flight 3407 was identified as a Continental flight, it was actually operated by Colgan Air, a

The first officer on 3407 had made less than $16,000 the previous year and the captain had failed five flight tests and received inadequate training on a critical safety system involved in the crash. The last six fatal crashes in the U.S. were all on regional lines "and as it turns out, nearly half of all national flights today are operated by regional carriers, although most Americans have no idea of this when they buy their tickets or board their flights. In  "Flying Cheap" airing next Tuesday, Feb 9 on PBS, pilot and FRONTLINE correspondent Miles O'Brien examines what happened during the crash of flight 3407 and talks with industry leaders as well as former Colgan Air pilots about the safety problems of major airlines outsourcing to regional carriers to cut costs--a little known trend in the airline industry. And next week, on the anniversary of the crash, the families of those who died on flight 3407 are marching from the crash site to the Buffalo airport, as a way of finishing their loved ones' journeys.

Chad Wasilenkoff - CEO of banknote-maker Fortress Paper
Did you know that there's only one company in the world authorized to produce the Swiss franc banknotes, which are widely considered to be the most secure currency in the world? Jordan Bank NotesMeet Fortress Paper, www.fortresspaper.com, (TSX: FTP), an international provider of security and other specialty papers, which is the sole manufacturer of the banknote paper for the Swiss franc. They have also produced banknote papers for over 100 currency denominations for over 25 countries and are one of only nine authorized suppliers of banknote paper for the Euro currency. New security realities in the 21st century have driven the need for ever-improving security features to be included in banknotes, passports, identification cards, checks and certification papers. The proliferation of color copying, scanning and printing technologies require that producers must continue to develop increasingly sophisticated anti-counterfeit solutions. While governments continue to improve the quality of banknote paper, overall banknote circulation has continued to grow as a result of economic activity in developing countries and the introduction of the Euro in Europe. Marc and Amy Vachon - "Equally Shared Parenting"
Introducing Marc and Amy Vachon, a couple that has completely revolutionized the old models of parenthood through their new book, EQUALLY SHARED PARENTING: Rewriting the Rules for a New Generation of Parents. An empowering guide to the Equally Shared Parenting movement, this book arms readers with the necessary tools to create a balanced life that is rarely experienced by most parents of young children today—an evolution that goes beyond the working mom and involved dad. Chances are, you'd rather not check your happy, rested life at the door the moment you become a parent. As a mom, you might want to keep your career but aren't sure how childcare and housework fit in. As a dad, you probably want to be there for your child's milestones, but breadwinning responsibilities will make that tough. And what about time for yourself (never mind your sex life)? Marc and Amy Vachon were determined to beat this doomsday scenario when their first child was born. And thus, their method of equally Equally Shared Parenting ... shared parenting (or ESP) was born. Their strategy was to share everything—the good and the bad. They would be peers in the four areas of their lives: childcare, housework, breadwinning, and time for self. They would share the burdens so that nobody was consistently overwhelmed, and they would share the joys so that neither missed out on experiencing a deep connection with their child. In the process, Marc and Amy launched EquallySharedParenting.com, bringing together a previously untapped community of parents who are transforming the traditional parenthood models with their own take on ESP. Drawing on Marc and Amy's experiences, as well as those of dozens of ESP couples, EQUALLY SHARED PARENTING clearly outlines the benefits and challenges of egalitarian parenting. It presents both the philosophy behind this lifestyle and the everyday steps needed to achieve and maintain it, regardless of income bracket, lifestyle choices, or profession

CHARLES "Keep-A-Knockin" CONNOR
original drummer for Little Richard, created the unique "Choo Choo Train" style of successive eighth notes with a loud backbeat used by nearly all subsequent Rock 'n' Roll drummers and, in fact, his drumsticks are on display at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio.
The son of a chief chef Merchant Marine seaman and father from Santo-Domingo and a Louisiana-born mother, CONNOR reveals, "I was born in New Orleans, in the heart of the French Quarter, the very hub of Cajun, Blues and down-island rhythms. My mother told me that whenever music was played, I kicked really hard in her womb." He grins and exclaims, "I was born to be a drummer!" He winks and continues, "Probably 'cuz of that exotic Creole and Dominican blood coursing through my veins," then laughs mischievously.  As a toddler, CONNOR was drawn to marching parades and the "second-line funeral bands" playing Dixieland jazz through the streets of New Orleans and loved to hear his father, home on a three-month leave, sing Calypso songs around the house. Imitating the drums, CONNOR banged on pots and pans all-day and cried hard when his mother had to take them away to cook family meals.charles keep a knockin ... Although his parents had two other sons and a daughter and could not afford expensive gifts, they saved enough money to buy CONNOR his first drum set when he was five. When his drumming became "a loud nuisance" to the neighbors, he practiced with his drumsticks four to five hours a day on a practice pad.  Inspired by such notables as Bob Alden, Art Blakey, Charles Otis, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich and Max Roach, CONNOR dreamed big and diligently spent all his spare time working towards his goal of becoming "a professional drummer." His hard work paid off at age 12 when he began playing drums for local parties and wedding receptions, but his "professional" career began at 15 when Roy "Professor Longhair" Byrd hired him as a last-minute replacement for the 1950 Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
