Joseph C. Szabo, Administrator, Federal Railroad Administration Nominated byPresident Barack Obama on March 20, 2009 and confirmed by the United StatesSenate on April 29, 2009, Joseph C. Szabo is the twelfth Federal RailroadAdministration (FRA) Administrator. As Administrator, Mr. Szabo isresponsible for overseeing the operations for the eight hundred plus personorganization. This includes managing a comprehensive railroad safetyassurance program and regulatory initiatives; enforcement of railroad safetylaws and regulations; development and implementation of national freight andpassenger rail policy and financial assistance programs; and oversight ofwide ranging advanced research and development projects in support of improved railroad safety. Cliff Stayton, Director Community Affairs and Safety, CSX Having joined CSXPublic Affairs in 2005, Cliff leads the Public Safety Awareness Team of 11system-wide in all aspects of grade crossing safety awareness efforts,community relations and system grade crossing closure efforts, both publicand private. Prior to his position at CSX, he was a Trainmaster in Danville,IL, where he was responsible for terminal and line-of -road operations andsafety for 150 employees. Cliff is a member of National Operation LifesaverProgram development council.

David Wessel is economics editor for The Wall Street Journal and writes the Capital column, a weekly look at the economy and forces shaping living standards around the world. He is responsible for overseeing coverage of the Fed and the Journal's daily coverage of the macro economy, global trade and economic trends. He appears frequently on National Public Radio.
