David Sklansky-Poker Player and Author
If you scan the bookshelf of any serious poker player, one author that will keep popping up is David Sklansky. Many popular online and offline pro players will tell you one of the first books they picked up as they were learning was one of Sklansky's.

Greg Raymer, 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event champion, even said in an interview the biggest influence on his game was Sklansky's The Theory of Poker.

David Sklansky's HOLD 'EM POKER. This is the book that started it all; the very first ever published specifically for Hold 'Em Poker. David Sklansky takes you though the game in a relatively short 111 pages covering all the basics of the game, as well as some of the more advanced concepts. However, don't be fooled by the lack of pages. David Sklansky packs more into 111 pages than Phil Hellmuth has crammed into two full books of over 550 pages combined.

David Sklansky is a professional gambler and poker player. He was approached to write this book as one of the leading poker theorists in the world. This is also a book that was first published in 1976, so I guess the first thing to address is whether or not a book this old could still be relevant in today's internet savvy, WSOP, WPT, TV world. The answer of course is yes, and even more so since the book was updated in 1997.

Sendhill Ramamurthy-USA's "Covert Affairs"
A second-generation CIA man, Jai (Sendhil Ramamurthy) was a former lacrosse star at Yale. Jai's hate-to-lose attitude would make him a perfect fit for investment banking, but he's chosen the Agency route instead. He has dated everyone from Congressional staffers to other CIA workers to a flight attendant he met while flying to a buddy's bachelor party in Reykjavik.

Jai lives in the shadow of his father, who was a legend at the CIA. This legacy both drives and saddles him. He is constantly striving to live up to his father's expectations while forging his own identity within the Agency.

When Arthur directs him to get close to Annie to gain her trust, Jai is more than willing to comply. She's beautiful, smart and sexy -- just his type. She also can keep up with him, which only fuels their natural friendly and flirtatious chemistry.
