If you’re invited to a last-minute get-together or have any other unexpected occasions where a gift is in order, it’s nice to have boxes of chocolate on hand. Pictured here are the Pot of Gold Collection Premium Collection chocolates from Hershey’s which are widely available anywhere you typically shop. They work well by themselves, but you can also add a personalized touch to your gift by adding them to a gift basket with an inexpensive mug or a little bag of coffee (check the Dollar Spot at Target for those). If you’re feeling creative, check out the fun craft ideas they have on the Hershey’s web site for truly unforgettable gifts. http://www.celebratewithhersheys.com/

Dr. Jeff Egler  - California Hospital Medical Center (CHMC)
With cold and flu season around the corner, more and more individuals are looking for ways to fight off illness and stay healthy. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), an estimated 10 to 20 percent of people in the United States get the flu each season. More than 200,000 people are hospitalized by flu complications, and about 36,000 people actually die from the flu. Dr. Jeff Egler, of the California Hospital Medical Center (CHMC) has some helpful tips for individuals to stay healthy during the winter months.  “People should keep in mind that if they just stick to the basics, they will have a much better chance of avoiding illness,” said Dr. Egler. “Everyday habits such as washing hands frequently, getting lots of rest and drinking plenty of fluids will go a long way to help stay healthy.” This year's annual flu shot will offer protection against two new viruses as well as the H1N1 virus that caused the pandemic last season. Only one vaccine is needed this year.
