Cynthia Sanz "PEOPLE"   "Country Music Special Issue"
Cynthia Sanz was named assistant managing editor for the magazine in October 2005. She had been a senior editor since January 2000, helping to oversee coverage of the entertainment world - as well as a variety of human interest stories. Sanz joined PEOPLE in 1989 as a staff writer on the show biz beat. She was a member of the team that launched PEOPLE en Español and spent four years writing and editing for special issues - including the annual features on "The Best & Worst Dressed," "The Sexiest Man Alive" and "The World’s Most Beautiful People." Sanz has appeared on several news and entertainment shows, including Access Hollywood, The Insider and Inside Edition. Previously, Sanz worked as a news clerk at The New York Times and a feature writer at The Dallas Morning News. PEOPLE will publish its latest Country Music Special Issue, a newsstand-only edition dedicated entirely to the country music scene. This special issue is the third of six issues PEOPLE will publish in 2010 devoted to country music. This time around the magazine picks the Hottest Guys in Country. Find out which sexy men really know how to turn up the heat and make female fans swoon. Will Kenny, Brad and Keith (last year’s cover men) make the list this year? Who will grace the cover?

DOUGLAS BRODE  is a screenwriter, playwright, novelist, film historian, and multi-award winning journalist. Born and raised on Long Island, he traveled upstate to attend SUNY Geneseo as an undergrad and never really left. After graduate work in Shakespearean studies at Syracuse University, he and his wife Sue (Johnson) Brode stayed on and raised a family. Brode became the coordinator of the Cinema Studies program at Onondaga College and then an adjunct professor at Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications. He is the author of over 30 books on film and the mass media including Films Of The Fifties, Films Of Steven Spielberg, Denzel Washington (a biography), Sinema (Erotic Films), Shakespeare In The Movies (for Oxford University Press), two books on Walt Disney for University of Texas Press, From Walt To Woodstock and Multiculturalism and the mouse. Also, Elvis Cinema And Popular Culture for McFarland Press. Most recently, he and Carol (widow of Rod) Serling have completed Rod Serling And The Twilight Zone: The Official 50th Anniversary Tribute for Barricade Books. Brode wrote the screenplay for Midnight Blue, which one critic called "the best of the low-budget erotic thrillers. His produced plays include Heartbreaker and Somewhere In The Night.

Whitley Streiber - "OMEGA POINT"
WHITLEY STRIEBER is the bestselling author of more than 25 books, including the legendary Warday, Nature’s End, and Superstorm, the basis of the movie The Day After Tomorrow. His most recent books, The Grays and 2012: The War for Souls, are both being made into films. His website, Unknowncountry.com, is the largest of its kind in the world, exploring the edge of science and reality.
