4/08 - Doug Brode, Scott Wimmer, Brian Hill , Sasha Perl-Raver

Doug Brode - "Mr. Pop Culture America"    Spotlight - Raquel Welch
Brode will now join the “What’s Cookin’ with Erik and Jack show, on which he recently has been a frequent guest, on Thursday mornings at 7:30 A.M. Pacific Time, 9:30 A.M. Central Time, and 10:30 A.M. Eastern Time.  The subject of the first session will be RAQUEL WELCH, “The Forgotten Films.” Everyone, of course, remembers Raquel for her appearance in One Million Years B.C. and the phenomenal poster that featured her in an animal skin bikini.  Doug Brode will recall what he considers Raquel’s most impressive acting performances in movies that are less well remembered but very much worth seeking out. This special tribute to Raquel will be in honor of Raquel’s live appearance later that day on CRN’s BOB CONRAD SHOW, in which the popular star of such TV series as "HAWIIAN EYE" , "THE WILD WILD WEST" and "Ba Ba Black Sheep" will talk with Ms. Welch about her remarkable and long career.  Each week, Doug Brode will talk with Eric and Jack about some other notable aspect of American popular culture, always focusing on the ones that seem most appropriate for that particular week.

Scott Wimmer - NASCAR Racer
Many companies have cut back on sponsorships for motorsports. For many drivers that is making auto racing increasingly difficult. How are auto racers coping with reduced sponsors? Are some being forced out of racing? Able to discuss this and more is NASCAR racer, Scott Wimmer. For Wimmer, while the economy has had some impact, he has been able to work with companies to show them a return on their investment. He can discuss how NASCAR is dealing with reduced sponsorships and his own career. Many companies have cut back on sponsorships for motorsports.
