Anya Monzikova - "Iron Man 2 "
From turning heads as one of the freshest faces on a top TV game show to co-starring with A-list talent in a major Hollywood blockbuster, actress Anya Monzikova continues to prove she has the brains and the beauty to continue her success as one of the industry’s most captivating new talents.  While recognizable from her stint as the model next to briefcase #10 on “Deal or No Deal,” her memorable appearance in the Bruce Willis thriller “Surrogates,” and photo spreads in Maxim and Stuff, Anya has parlayed her stint as a model into steady work in dramatic television and motion pictures. Born in Russia and raised in Florida from the age of eight, Anya studied theatre and film in high school and college, and began modeling as a way to enter the industry.  Recently, Anya finished work on the upcoming blockbuster “Iron Man 2” (due out May 7th), appearing in a climactic scene with Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Scarlett Johansson – the latter of whom relied on Anya’s native Russian skills to perform her lines to perfection at the behest of director Jon Favreau. With an eye on landing more parts in action films – the Wushu-trained martial artist confesses she hopes to do parts where she can perform her own stunts and showcase her sword technique – Anya is also pursuing her dreams of working behind the camera, developing short projects as a writer and director. Having come all the way from Vologda, Russia, to the big-time in Hollywood, making the rest of her dreams come true seems well within reach.
